On Monday14th November 2011, we had a very enjoyable evening
at the Liberal Club, Bedworth. There was Chicken and Chips, which
was very nice and as can be seen in the picture, I am playing music
for dancing. This included quite a few "War-Time Songs"and some
"Flag Waving", as befitted the occasion.
We wish to thank the members of Bedworth Solo Club for inviting
us to share this evening with them.

Nida is seen in our garden with the Japanese Maple Trees which
are displaying their beautiful Autumn Colour.

The afternoon of Wednesday 21st. September saw us at
St. Chad's Parish Centre, Sedgley.
This was an enjoyable afternoon, mostly attended by the ladies,
as can be seen in the picture, where I am "on stage", playing the
music

The above picture was taken during a return visit to the Tower
Ballroom, Birmingham on the afternoon of Wednesday 27th
July 2011.
There was a good attendance on this occasion and I can be seen
happily playing for the dancing.

On Thursday 9th June we were invited to "The Paddocks Hotel".
This Hotel is situated in a beautiful part of Herefordshire
In the picture, I have the Tyros 4 ready to play for the dancing and
lunch is about to be served.

The above picture was taken prior to a performance on 1st June
at the West End W.M.C., Wolverhampton, with our new Yamaha
Tyros 4 keyboard.

The evening of Saturday 5th March saw us at Wombourne Civic
Centre, where I was booked to play music during dinner and
afterwards for dancing. Above is a general view at dinner.
I am just out of the picture to the right. Well over a hundred people
attended this event.

After dinner the tables were soon cleared and the dancers made
full use of this fine dance floor, as seen in the above picture.
We always enjoy our visits here.

On Wednesday 23rd February, we had a very enjoyable afternoon
at The Tower Ballroom, Edgbaston. This venue has a first class
dance floor, probably the largest in the Birmingham area.
On this occasion, I was invited to play for the Tea Dance, a monthly
event, held from 1-00pm to 4-00pm and very popular with the
dancers.
In the picture, I am "On Stage" playing the organ and it seems,
confering with Bill, our D.J.
Nida and I wish to thank all those who supported this event and the
many friends who came to see us.

On the evening of Saturday 8th January Nida and I travelled to
Church Gresley Old Hall, South Derbyshire.
This was my first engagement here. We wish to thank everyone
who came along and made it such an enjoyable night for us.
In the picture, the dancers are having a Saunter.
We look forward to our next visit in March.

After all the snow and ice at Christmas, the weather was much
better, if a bit cold, when we visited Halesowen Members Club
on the evening of January 6th.
There was a good attendance and we enjoyed the evening.

We travelled to Kidderminster on the evening of Wednesday
29th December.
Not so many in attendance this evening, I guess mainly due to
the weather and colds and flu. However, it was good to see the
folks who managed to come and see us.

The weather took it's toll, with some fuctions being cancelled by
the organizers, due mainly to the state of the car parks and
footpaths at the venues. This included the Christmas Eve Dance
at Lea Hall Allotments Club.
However, by clearing snow etc, we were able to go out when
required and we wish to thank the venues that did stay open.

The evening of Friday 5th November 2010 saw us at Lower Gornal
British Legion Club, where I was booked to play the music for the
Poppy Appeal Dance.
This was a really good night, well attended by a crowd who were out
for a good time
In the picture I am on the stage, which was suitably decorated for the
occasion, complete with washing line!!

Once again we were at Lea Hall Allotments Club for the Halloween
Dance, which was held on Saturday 30th October.
Quite a number of people came in costume. I decided this time not
to wear a hat, but a cape instead.

Nida and I were invited the have lunch with " Friends In Retirement "
at the Goodyear Pavilion, Wolverhampton on Thursday 14th October.
There was dancing in the afternoon, followed by a Cream Tea.
We wish to thank everyone for a very enjoyable day. In the picture,
I am "On Stage", playing for the dancing.

On the evening of Saturday October 9th, we headed for the
Jubilee Hall at Brewood, Staffordshire. This is an attractive
village and the hall is well cared for.
In the picture, I am "on Stage" playing for the dance, which was
well attended. We really enjoyed the evening.

Nida and I were invited to attend the Nortycote Farm and Country
Park Flower and Vegetable Show on the 18th & 19th September.
Nida entered some of her plants and won several prizes, including
a first prize for a rather large Cactus, as seen in the picture.
We had a really enjoyable couple of days.

On Friday 27th August 2010, Nida and I set off from the U.K. for
two weeks holiday in Canada, where we had a really good time.
Whilst there we spent time with our relatives who live in Calgary.
The above picture was taken at Bow Falls, Banff, by our eight year
old nephew, whose name is Cole. "Good Job Cole"!!

We had a really good night at the Austin No. 5. Club, Longbridge
on Saturday 21st August.
There was a large crowd and extra tables and chairs had to be
brought in. The above picture was taken looking towards the stage.

The above picture was taken from the stage and shows a packed
dance floor and the nice attractive attire worn by the dancers.
It's always a pleasure to play at this venue and Nida and I will look
forward to our next visit.

The Annual Show of the Black Country Fuchsia Society was held
on 14th & 15th August.
Once again Nida exhibited some of her plants. In the above picture
she is seen with one of her "Standards", which won a First Prize.
The cultivar is "Nellie Nuttall".

Another first Prize for Nida was in the "Depict the Name of a
Fuchsia" Class, the name of the plant being "Checkerboard".

Nida had three First Prizes, some Seconds and Thrirds and is
seen here receiving a trophy from our President Mr. Dennis Skitt.

On the evening of Wednesday 11th August 2010, we paid a return
visit to Lickey End Club, Bromsgrove.
A nice dance floor, plenty of dancers and a good friendly
atmosphere this evening.

We look forward to seeing everyone next time.

On the evening of Monday 9th August we travelled to Bedworth.
In the picture, I am "On Stage", having a good time, playing for the
dancers of Bedworth Solo Club at the Liberal Club.
Nida and I enjoy our visits here and there is always a good
attendance.

action on the dance floor.

We enjoyed our first visit to Burton-On-Trent Solo Club on the
evening of Tuesday 27th July 2010.
The venue was Marstons Sports and Social Club.
Nida took some pictures, one of which appears above.

We were really made welcome by the members and will
look forward to our next visit on 30th November.

Our venue on the evening of Thursday 22nd July 2010 was
Halesowen Members' Club.
It was good to see so many people there and in the picture, I am
on stage playing for the dancers.

next visit there on 12th August.

On the evening of Saturday 17th July we went to St. Chad's Parish
Hall at Sedgley. There was a good attendance and we enjoyed
seeing friends again.

Nida and I went to St. Chad's Parish Hall at Sedgley on the
afternoon of Wednesday 23rd June. It was an enjoyable afternoon
and in the picture we are doing some line dancing.

During April we visited the Dorothy Clive Garden.
