We were guests at a really great hotel whilst we were in Canada.
Right opposite Canada Olympic Park, Calgary, the Four Points
by Sheraton had everything, friendly and helpful staff, large clean,
comfortable rooms with a terrace and every facility.
Nida took the above picture during an early morning stroll.

Nida is seen crossing the road back towards the hotel, which
is to the left of the picture. In the background is Canada Olympic
Park, with it's Ski-Jump Towers.

In the picture, traffic is light as we travel west along Highway 1,
with Castle Mountain in the background.

Nida took the above picture from the car on Friday 3rd September
as we travelled West along Highway 1, in the area of Lake Louise.
In the distance is one of the bridges, constructed to enable wildlife
to safely cross the highway.

We left the divided highway and turned North onto Highway 93, the
"Icefields Parkway."
We felt really lucky as we had a very nice car and as can be seen
from the picture, the weather was great and we had the road to
ourselves.

Nida took the above picture during a break at Bow Lake, on our
way to Jasper. The colours are amazing, I have not enhanced
the colours in any way in the pictures.

In beautiful weather we made a stop to admire the view at
Waterfowl Lake, (above).

We arrived at Jasper in the evening and after checking in at our hotel,
took a walk.
In the picture, a westbound train has just arrived at the station.
There are more railway pictures on the Hobbies pages.

Next day we took a ride into British Columbia to take a look at
Mount Robson. This mountain has a reputation for being covered
by cloud for much of the time, but we did have a pretty good view
for a while that day as we were out walking.
